Makes the moss upon the tree trunks quiver as they sway
In this island town, surrounded by the Puget Sound
As we walk through the forest in the morning rain

In the days before the trees were all cut down
We would walk beneath the branches in the falling rain
Travel through the morning mist, to a lighthouse seldom seen
Stoic as the mountains on a winter’s day

Waking in the night, to the sound of distant thunder
Echoes from the mountains to the sea
Mount Constitution rises high about the
Sullen waves and the turning tide and the trail we travel far and wide
